Food Patriots FREE Movie Screening
In Bloomington Public Library from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
Green Top and the Bloomington Public Library bring you the upbeat & fun food documentary Food Patriots. Food Patriots begins with a wake up call: filmmakers Jeff Spitz and Jennifer Amdur Spitz's son got sick eating chicken contaminated with a super-bug, and antibiotics failed. The film chronicles the family's new found interest in food sources, getting outlawed chickens, and meeting people from all walks of life who are trying to change the way Americans eat food, buy food, and educate the next generation of consumers. They call the people who are doing this Food Patriots. Joins us! Bloomington Public Library Community Room After the film guest speaker Deborah Niemann-Boehle of Antiquity Oaks Farm (and Green Top Owner) will share with us the health benefits of eating locally.
